What to Expect with Teething
Your baby has finally started to sleep through the night for a month now and you are finally getting back on track with your sleeping. It finally feels good to sleep…wait, what is that? Is that a baby you hear waking up in the middle of the night for the past week? The baby isn’t only off track, but the baby is obviously in pain due to the fact that she/he has been teething. Babies will start to teeth right when you start to get back on track and that is something many parents have to deal with. However, there are some things you can do for your baby that will help the teething process.

When you have a teething baby, you can expect less sleep and a lot of drool. Your baby will b e drooling more than ever, but you should try to keep the drool wiped off of the mouth with a soft tissue and try not to irritate it even more than it already is. Your baby has had a perfect appetite in the past, but now the appetite has turned into a nightmare. Your baby no longer wants to eat and just wants to chew on the teething toy you purchased. While you should make sure your baby eats something, the appetite is going to decrease because your baby has a mouth that is in pain and they do not feel like eating and don’t realize they are even hungry. There are many gels you can purchase for your baby to rub on the gums that will numb the gums, but personally, we never used that because we don’t like the idea of the babies’ mouth being number, especially at night before they go to bed, because this could cause choking.
