When your baby has finally started to cut teeth and has begun the teething process, there are a number of things you will be experiencing that you may not have experienced before. First off, your baby will be crankier than normal. Your baby will sit there and cry when they are teething. When your baby is crying, then they are obviously in pain and they do not know what is going on. Your baby does not like pain and there is no denying that the process of teething sounds a bit painful. Many parents give their baby a cut up apple when they are teething, but we do not recommend that. If you give your baby an apple that has been cut up, then they could end up actually biting a piece off and swallowing it. When your baby is little, they do not realize they have to chew. If you must give your baby an apple to chew on, and then make sure it is an apple that has not been cut up or pealed. You could always put the apple in the refrigerator and make it a cold apple that will relieve the pain. Many parents give their babies carrots, but this isn’t a good idea because carrots can easily be broken off, which will be a choking hazard to the baby. There is also teething biscuits that you will be able to find in the baby food aisle, normally on the top shelf. You should always supervise your baby, even more so when they have some type of food for teething.
